The Raw Dog Food Diet for Long-lived Pets

Do you believe that dogs eat raw food? Do you believe that it’s good for them? Why not? In the past, the raw dog food diet was the norm. Humans gave dogs their scraps. We gave them real bones to chew and mixed in some of our meat and vegetables. In the thousands of years that the dog was our companion, they grew well and lived long. It’s only in the last century that our dog’s average age became 12 years. Dogs could and used to live much longer. In Homer’s Odyssey, Ulysses’ dog was able to wait for his master to return after twenty years. An Australian cattle dog named Bluey almost lived to see his thirtieth year. A well cared for dog that gets enough exercise and eats the proper diet can age well.
