New York’s bright lights need a change
New York City is known for it’s bright lights and great culture. It’s a hodge-podge of diversity and the many residents are proud to be a “New Yorker”. The city is becoming more and more aware of energy saving measures it can take after the rolling blackouts they experienced many years ago as a result of too much energy being used during peak hours. One way the city can cut down energy usage it to switch out many of their lights to use led par 38 bulbs instead of halogen. These use 80% less energy than traditional incandescent lights and last about 17 years at 8 hours use per day.
