Warranty System for Laptop Repairs

<!– @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } –>

Three years ago I bought a laptop and was told that there is a one year warranty. The laptop came with a lot of preloaded software. Whenever I had some trouble I used to take the unit to the service department of the vendor and they would set it right. All their services were free and most of the complaints were about software. But, during the warranty period, once my laptop was infected with virus. I took it to the service department. They disinfected and charged me a tidy amount. After paying I complained to the sales department. They explained to me that the warranty is only for the hardware. Anyway, now even after the warranty period they charge me only very nominally for any repair laptop.
